Richards announced as acting graduate program director for the School of Communication

Dr. Keith Richards, new acting graduate program directorCongratulations to School of Communication Associate Professor Dr. Keith Richards for being named acting graduate program director.

Richards started at ECU in the fall of 2013 as an assistant professor. From 2014 to 2017, he served on the School of Communication Graduate Curriculum Committee as secretary and moved into the chair position in 2017. He started serving as acting graduate program director on June 1, 2021, when former program director, Dr. Laura Prividera, became acting director of the School of Communication.

Richards received his Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University and masters and doctoral degrees from University of Connecticut.

Richards stated “I am excited for the opportunity to work with all of our graduate students and faculty. A priority is to promote our newest concentration in Strategic Communication while continuing to support our Health Communication concentration, health certificate program, as well as the accelerated MA program.”
