#PirateNationGives March 17 – Help our students on their journeys.

March 17 is #PirateNationGives.

This day of giving is a 24-hour online fundraising event that brings the ECU community together to engage with and give back to the university we love. When Pirate Nation comes together, we accomplish great things. Supporting ECU on Pirate Nation Gives is a way for us all to show our commitment to the university, our students, and our region. Every gift advances ECU’s mission of service and makes a difference.

School of Communication alumni and friends, you can give to the School of Communication and help our students in many ways. Let us count the ways that your giving can help our students:

  1. School of Communication Study Abroad Scholarship
We offer study abroad programs through the School of Communication during the summer sessions. This scholarship helps communication majors travel abroad on our faculty-led programs. Our summer study abroad trips were cancelled for 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Let’s help get a student somewhere in summer 2022!
  2. Other School of Communication Scholarships
One of the greatest things we get to do each year is provide a handful of scholarships to our communication majors. You can help be a part of that as well. It is a wonderful thing to do! Give to our scholarship fund. Learn more about our scholarships here.
  3. School of Communication Priority Fund
These funds are used across the school for quick response to emerging issues and student and faculty needs. In the past, funds have been used to send students to conferences such as the Broadcast Education Association annual conference.
