Guest Scholar Dr. Kirk St. Amant Visits ECU March 2 and 3.

We welcome Dr. Kirk St. Amant to East Carolina University and the School of Communication next week.

On Monday, March 2 from 3- 4:30 p.m. he will be the featured speaker at the School of Communication’s Research Mingle in the Main Campus Student Center Room 125.

On Tuesday, March 3 from 2-3 p.m. he will lecture on Health and Medical Communication in Global Contexts in the Main Campus Student Center Room 253.

Dr. St. Amant is the Eunice C. Williamson Chair in Technical Communication and a member of the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation Science (CBERS) Louisiana Tech University. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Health and Medical Communication with the University of Limerick in Ireland and a Guest Professor of Usability Studies with Southeast University in China. Additionally, Kirk serves as a Research Fellow and an Affiliated Faculty Member in User Experience Design with the University of Strasbourg in France and a Research Fellow/Expert in Residence with the Ghana-based non-profit African Centre for Science and International Security (AFRICSIS). He researches how cognitive processes affect the usability of technologies in health and medical contexts and in online education.
