Fall 2019 SoC Graduation Recognition Ceremony December 13th
The Fall 2019 School of Communication Graduation Recognition Ceremony is Friday, December 13 at 7 p.m. in the Main Campus Student Center Grand Ballroom.
We welcome back ECU School of Communication alumna Dania DePas as our keynote speaker. DePas is the Director of Communications at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a national nonprofit headquartered in Washington, DC. Ms. DePas holds a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism and a Master of Arts in health communication, both from East Carolina University.
At the Physicians Committee, Ms. DePas is on the executive leadership team and oversees all marketing and communications, leading a team of 12 communications professionals. The communications department is responsible for making sure the nutrition, research, and policy initiatives are in the forefront of the media and the team also manages the organization’s social media, advertising, marketing, video production, websites, mobile apps, podcast, branding, and more.
For the day of graduation, graduates need to arrive with their cap and gown to the Main Campus Student Center at 6 p.m. Enter through the entrance closest to Dowdy Bookstore and go up the stairs outside the bookstore to the second floor. Graduates will check in and line up in rooms 249 and 253. No tickets are needed for the ceremony. Doors will open for family members and friends at 6:30 p.m.
